Yesterday was a day of just getting stuff done. Moving cross country requires so many minute details: finding the new post office, new bank accounts, car insurance, and the list goes on and on. It’s still warm here but there is a fall breeze in the air that is blowing back the humidity-and there is the still present air conditioning everywhere we go that can make dressing for outings a challenge. Yesterday I decided on my skinny boyfriend jeans with my cute top, both of which you have seen before. What you may not have seen are my pristine white Superga sneakers! I love these bad boys and they are ridiculously comfy. Perfect for going here and there. I then added a Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks to complete the look. Just because. 😉

Greetings from our newly established lives on the East coast! The past few weeks have been crazy so thank you for bearing with me as I have had to put the blog on the backburner and focus on moving and getting our new home situated.
When you have spent the majority of your time in either moving clothes and/or roadtrip outfits, you welcome the opportunity to FINALLY put on some real clothes and head out. Today I’m going to start exploring the neighborhood. I’m going to be walking so no heels for me, but I just got this hat as a birthday gift and decided while I can’t wear heels, I most definitely can wear a big floppy hat. 🙂
And as part of our new chapter here, I’ve also decided to update the blog a bit. I hope you like the new design and look!
My body is still getting accomstomed to this three hour difference, hence the coffee. I think that until I start really realizing that I’m here, I’m going to need at least two cups to really get me going. Hasn’t helped that it’s bloody humid at night either. Next summer, air conditioning.

Hello!
So this is day 3 of us traveling cross country. We (my husband and I + our two cats) are all feeling the effects of spending so much time on the road. It’s not helping my husband and I that every day we are changing time zones. We need those extra hours!! Today we are heading through OK, MO, IL, IN, OH. It’s a lot. For us. For the animals. But tomorrow we are only going to be 6 hours from our final destination, so we’re gonna keep on trucking!
As I mentioned yesterday, for long distances comfy clothes are key. Now if you have been paying attention to my past blog posts you know that I’m not a yoga pants fan. Road tripping is not an excuse to wear them, but I’m fully aware of the need for comfort when spending 11 hours in a car. So today I choose my own version of yoga pants: a comfy cotton skirt from Gap Outlet and my favorite white tee from Madewell.
I also have come to discover what things I absolutely need on this trip. A big tote is key for throwing everything in, as well as a comfy cardigan as we have been blasting the air in the car. My other necessities are my Chromebook for working, my Kate Spade small bag for makeup and hair necessities, my lotion and face wipes. Both of those are crucial as my face tends to get oily with stress and with just traveling, but I don’t want to get to dry either. Delicate balance. Then lastly, we have been trying to drink as much water as we can to stay hydrated, and to keep us from being hungry all the time. We have been trying to limit our road food as our bodies are already out of whack with everything.
Are we there yet?!
