Hi everyone!
Do you ever go into your closet to get ready for a night out and think, “I have no idea what to wear?!”. Maybe it’s just me. 🙂 Either way, I decided for this post to show a few different looks that work for me as we get into warmer, spring weather. I find that when I’m stuck in that, “I have nothing to wear” cycle, sometimes just a picture in a magazine, Instagram, or Pinterest, etc., gives me the spark of inspiration that I need to find the perfect thing.
So here are three “just right” outfits for me.
The first is one I recently wore to a girls night outing with my friends. It was perfect for the beautiful weather we are having and pleated maxi’s and midi length skirts are big right now. Don’t be scared by the pleats-in a chiffon-esq material, they are flattering on everyone. Just make sure that if you are curvier, you should do a more fitting top to still keep your shape. A wide belt is a curvy girl’s best friend as it helps with that waist definition. For height challenged girls like me, heels are a must so that you don’t get overwhelmed by the outfit, especially the pleats, as they can take over.

My second look is my go-to when grabbing drinks with friends and/or my hubs. It’s easy and yet the top has a fun metallic detailing to it that makes it more than just jeans and a shirt. And of course, a fitted black blazer to help further sophisticate the look. My perennial favorite color blocked heels put a little spring in my step and a bright pink clutch is my always needed “pop”.

And my third look is great for dinner and drinks or a movie, basically it’s such an easy look that you could wear this for a multitude of things. I have spoken a lot about my Topshop black coated jeans so I think there’s nothing left to say, except, why are they not in your closet?! The top was one of those random H&M finds that I wasn’t planning on, but am glad that I added it to my wardrobe. The necklace is a fun one that I received a few birthdays back. I like the playfulness and small tinge of color it brings to the look.

So there you have it, three go-to outfits for whatever or whereever the evening takes me. I hope that I have provided some inspiration for the next time you have a “I don’t have anything to wear” moment. 🙂
Happy Saturday!
Much love,
Mel
