I love me some turtles. This top just makes me happy. You know what else makes me happy? Cocktails. Which is exactly the reason why I would wear an outfit like this. Combining two of my favorite things is the perfectĀ formula for a stylish great time.

Hope everyone is ready for the weekend. I know I am…although to be fair, I was ready Monday morning too. šŸ˜‰

Hi friends!

I have to admit, whether its the vitamin D I’m getting, getting to spend time with friends from CA, or whether it’s because we are starting to make friends here and settling into a routine, I’m feeling better. More like myself. The hubs and I are social creatures-we love entertaining and being with friends, and although I still miss our old life in San Diego, we’re getting more into a routine here which is helping us both get over the, quite frankly, HUGE location shock of being in Buffalo.

So when I’m feeling lighter internally, I show it externally by wearing lighter colors. Although I can’t wear this outfit currently in our 90 degree weather-something that sucks no matter what coast you’re on, this outfit will be on rotation once it gets cooler again at night. And by cooler I mean 65 degrees. Anything below is still an abomination. That’s not me. That’s just science. šŸ˜‰

Hello strangers!

I’ll be honest-with summer in full effect and our friends visiting last weekend from San Diego, I haven’t really set aside any time for blog pics. There’s just have been other interests that has made me abandon my blogging responsibilities these past few weeks. But I haven’t forgotten! I’m back and actually feeling reenergized in my blogging responsibilities.

With that said, my friend and I found this amazing skirt doing one of our shopping crawls through my neighborhood. We used to do them in San Diego and it was a great way to spend some girl time and also see the stores that are around me here. I love the length and just the shape of the skirt, and of course it’s blue and white striped so you can’t go wrong with a classic print. I paired it with this red and blue top for a mixed print, stylish look I love. Its going to be my go-to outfit for our anniversary dinner next week with friends! August is going to have a lot going on for us-it starts with our 11 year wedding anniversary, my 37th (wth?!) birthday, our 1st year anniversary as Buffalonians, and my hubs starts his second year of graduate school. Just a few more years left before he’s done with classes and our next adventure TBD begins. Crazinesss!
