As White as Snow…No, I’m not referring to my dress, I’m referring to my legs. Sweet lord, can we talk about how white they are?! Whitest I’ve been since I originally left the east coast over fifteen years ago. Not cool, Winter, not cool.

So after months and months of planning and trying to coordinate, my friend who is a Stella & Dot stylist and I finally were able to meet up so I could grab of few of the goodies I wanted to showcase here on Hautemel.

If you’ve followed along on the blog for even one post, you may have noticed that I love jewelry and accessories, and there were no shortage of items from Stella & Dot’s latest collection that I didn’t love. I’m testing out this sundress as a potential contender for our June Califorinia trip and although I love the white with the black stripes, you know I need a little more color. I naturally gravitated towards this awesome scarf and tote, both Stella & Dot, as they provide the perfect accents to take my outfit to the next level. The colors are so vibrant in the scarf (do I even have to mention that it’s green and blue?!), and I think it pairs so well with my moto jacket. The tote is definitely in consideration for my new summer bag. Roomy and colorful-need I say anything else?! I will though, as it is featured in all of my upcoming outfits for the week. 😉

I love rose gold as the perfect mix for outfits that need a softer look than what silver or gold can provide. This bracelet is a great mix of a pretty color but a more rebel edge, fitting with the moto jacket.

This is the perfect look for walking to brunch or to many of the local Spring events that seem to be popping up around our hood. Now, I just need to work on the color of my legs…

Happy Monday! 

If you’ve read my previous post about Current Craves, you may have seen this dress listed on there. This is a dress that I can wear year round, which made the $50 price tag even better. The most important thing when buying something should always be “how many wears am I going to get out of this for the price?”. I love designer pieces and maybe if I had unlimited income, I wouldn’t care about price, but this is something that I have to think about for most items. For this dress, even though $50 isn’t a huge amount, if I didn’t think I would wear the dress very often, it would still be throwing my money away. And trust me, I have A LOT of other things I could re-delegate the funds too. Thankfully, I love this dress and in the fall & winter, fully plan on adding tights and knee-high boots to it, with some sort of long sleeve top underneath. 

Hope everyone is having a lovely day so far. We had our yard sale this past weekend and I’m so glad that not only did we do well with it, but most importantly, it’s DONE. Now on to the final packing preparations, wonder when the little packing gnomes will show up to help?!
