Happy Monday folks!

Can we just take a minute to reflect that Thanksgiving is this week?! That in one short week we will be in the final month of 2015?! What happened to this year?!

This year, as we did for our past life in San Diego, we are hosting Thanksgiving for the Murray family. That’s right-the in-laws, including my sister -in-law and her fiancé, will be flying in from California on Wednesday to spend the holiday with us here. As of right now, Mother Nature is giving us a gift of high 50’s for the week, until Saturday, but that’s okay because there’s no snow in the forecast and that tops my list of Thanks this month. As life has repeatedly shown us-you never know what will happen the next year of if we will be able to continue this tradition while in Buffalo, so the hubs and I are making it our mission to blow everyone’s minds with our meal for this Thanksgiving. That means my outfit has to be comfortable for being in the kitchen, but entertaining-esq as we will have company. I love this look for both reasons. I’d long ago given up wearing heels for anything I’m hosting-if I know that I will be standing for a while, so my flats are crucial. My leather leggings give me a sharp look but the stretch for the copious amount of food I will inhale. And my cashmere sweater has a formal but comfortable look to it, as does the simple gold chain. I’ll most likely wear a tank underneath to be a little more covered when bending over to serve, but besides that….behold Thanksgiving 2015 in an outfit.

Much love,

Mel
