Once upon a time there was a girl with nothing to wear. Until one day she stumbled upon the most magical of all dresses. This dress was one of those rare finds that no matter how much the girl weighed or felt like she looked, the dress would make her feel like a princess.
Folks, this is that dress for me. I bought this number back in 2005 I believe, at Banana Republic for a cool $150, which even now, is at the top of my price point. Since then however, it has been my go-to for parties, weddings, rehearsal dinners, girls night, etc. I have gotten my money’s worth tenfold. So when I think of the upcoming holiday season and some of the events that will be on our calendar, I know that I don’t have to look much further than my closet for the perfect holiday glammed-up look.
I took my beloved dress, added in a few sparkly accessories-including shoes that make me feel like I should be part of a Kate Spade ad although I didn’t spend more than $40 on them, and I’m ready for whatever dressed up holiday soiree there is.
What’s in your closet?
Much love,
Mel
